After seeing the musical "Lennon" this year and was really excited to see a live "skiffle" rendition of "Cripple Inside" just what other solo / beatle compositions could be done in this style? Besides the obvious The Beatles: "One after 909" Lennon's: Mind Games"Tight A$" there has to be others that incorporate the roots of skiffle within it's structure

Good question. I am not really good at identifying skiffle, so will rely on you or others to make the suggestion. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for those suggestive tracks, I wonder if this might make a good challenge here? Skiffle instrumental mashes

Yeah, the temptation to go cramming me-self down the "rabbit hole" in Liverpool this year to celebrate Lennon's 70th was not only necessary but thoroughly intoxicating! The photo that I had scan from the single page tribute in the Liverpool Echo on that Saturday is share here at the link below, although only a single page I believe in each issue there is to be a continuation throughout subsequent issues until that faithful day in December! All in all the events I went to as well as taking in exhibits to mark the Liverpool Biennial in 2010 was exhausting but well worth taking the pints that made me grow from large to small

Over eleven nights I ran rampant through the streets and fevered in bed to do it all over again the following evening with a stay in to catch a matinee performance on Saturday of the musical that just opened at the Royal Court Theater which by the way was written by Bob Eaton who contributed to the "Lennon" musical here in the United States which by the way paled in comparison to the production dud to the overt humor that was written for the production and so well documented Lennon's life in far superior ways., the only misstep was retaining the "Lennon: White Album Era" appearance throughout that lead to a rather "cartoon" character hosting the narrative  But the songs were done with a fresher approach than the U.S. production one in particular earlier in the evening was a skiffle version of "Crippled Inside" which totally brought a tear to the old ducts :) .... I can only hope that a "skiffle" cover band is in the making 8) ..... now wouldn't that bring smile to the man whose life was being presented there in all it's glories ... warts and all
