:) Good one....well it's nicely done!
Not my taste in choice for backing, but i hear that it's made well enough.

Here's the track requested by Nico...
Birthday vs Back In The USSR.
I knew it was possible...but having started i thought it wouldn't work too well. The USSR verses are a little too long for comfort, but i stuck with it, and i think it turned out quite nicely.

I guess I missed a few mixes here.

Interesting on this one, because I also did a mix of this very combination. On the initial verses, I think I got the timing down a little better, yours seems to lag a bit. But then after the first verse, it kind of falls apart timingwise, so I gave up on it. I think I will keep that verse for a medley or something somewhere at some time, but since it is only part of a song, I don't think I will post it now. But the idea is good to put these two together, trying myself, but ultimately they just don't quite mesh throughout.

Using the multis from the Fireman Deluxe set, i mixed Back In The USSR with The Fireman's Light From Your Lighthouse.
I hope this sounds ok...it was done on headphones.

a few spots might not be quite pitch perfect, but you gotta love this one. Smiled throughout on this one, especially the my-my-my-my part, and the ending, that was very creative of you, what an idea! terrific!

Back to the Roots of 'Back in the USSR', leads us to good old Chuck Berry. never realised how much Macca 'borrowed' from the master of Rock & Roll.....

Listen at:

This is also one of those mashups I tried a couple years ago, I threw mine away as no good, never saw the light of day.

This was a good effort, what you did was well done. The Back In The US was repeated too many times for me.

But though I also like the idea, and you did a hugely better job, I am still not ultimately convinced of this meshing. Perhaps MP3J is right in that maybe a Beach Boys version would be better to mash that song with. I don't have such a version, they did one?

Great results this month (as always).

01-CoolInTheUSSR-
A lot of fun this 1.Despite tiny pitching oots in minor spots I liked it lots.So glad you went there.

02-BackInTheUSSR-BeatlesLemmy-Very good fun.Totally believable pairing.
Super work.

03-RockerfellerInTheUSSR-Even better! Amazing! Really an enjoyable bootleg mix.

04-GetBackInTheUSSR-Very very good.I like it much. The jet sounds are good too.

05-Back in the US-SR (The Beatles vs Chuck Berry)-
Really inspired track.Loved the authentic oldies sound.Very impressive.

06-LighthouseInTheUSSR-Works much but the wavery vocals hinder it a little for me.

07-BirthdayInTheUSSR-A massive blast. Thanks to you MP3J & to Nico for the suggestion.

08-Night Time In The USSR-I love it.Such a successful stomper.
Good 1 Terminus!

09-BackinTheUSSR-MaccaBeatles-Excessively fun,I say.Plenty fine track,innit.

I'm pleased it passed the muster with you.
I was loathe to alter the ussr track much.
I eq'ed it differently to accent the voice against the added geetars.
Anxious for next month's challenge!
