Ok Nico, thanks...I agree, it's a great song, and a good choice. There's a very useable vocal extraction from the LOVE album that anyone here can use as a starting point.
...coincidentally, i just got a "Back In The USSR" T-Shirt today. :)

hahaha, MP3J humor shows up in this one! can't help but giggle, that was a lot of fun, what a combination!

makes me wonder if Three Cool Cats would mash with that one, if you ever have a go at it.

Thanks, yeah i found this amusing too.
As for Three Cool Cats....well that is in the key of E, and Cool For Cats is in G (Hence the shifting of BITUSSR).....so i think it's not going to work too well.

Good luck to all! Some traditional russian folk songs may be a nice little jumble for this tune

A very simple one here...quickly made as well.
Lemmy and The Beatles join together.

I'll post another one later this week.

After the first thirty seconds, this is really great! I love the Rockafeller Skank and have unsuccessfully tried to use it to mash before too. A lot of fun, well done.

Except that first 30 seconds. The vocals do not sound spaced correctly to me at all, awkward. It's like it needs to lose a beat throughout. But that's ok, that's just me.

really?....i don't hear it myself.

Anyway...here's another.
I'm not a fan of extracted instrumentals, but i couldn't resist this.

Yesterday I was in Bloker-Holland and I saw playing with his band: Tony Sheridan (69). He still rocked with his own material and it sounded not too bad.

Love all your work on this site!!! No question about that!
You made on the remixed white album a great version of Birthday with samples of Eleanor Rigby and Something.
Is it possible for you to do something with Back in the USSR?

Thanks for everything.

Nico

Back to the Roots of 'Back in the USSR', leads us to good old Chuck Berry. never realised how much Macca 'borrowed' from the master of Rock & Roll.....

that's good, nice one.
Didn't the Beach Boys do Back In The USA too?......that would bring in Paul's other influence for the song.

Using the multis from the Fireman Deluxe set, i mixed Back In The USSR with The Fireman's Light From Your Lighthouse.
I hope this sounds ok...it was done on headphones.

Here's the track requested by Nico...
Birthday vs Back In The USSR.
I knew it was possible...but having started i thought it wouldn't work too well. The USSR verses are a little too long for comfort, but i stuck with it, and i think it turned out quite nicely.

yeah, lots of energy here, and some agression as well. Timing perfect, sounds difficult to match. More rythm than melody, but an exciting new perspective on BITUSSR !

Very smooth re-mix, sounds like a natural fit. A bit much of the original USSR in it, but still a Rocker !
