These links are from the other thread. As I get decent extractions from the rockband mixes I'll put links in this thread, to keep them all in one place.

The first one is Eric's lead guitar from While My Guitar Gently Weeps:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0PM6M0OA

Another one from WMGGW, the guitar that doubles the bass line in the bridges, barely heard on the regular mix:

5.1 mix of Helter Skelter using the Beatcomber tracks:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P0B7TOF5

And the 6 mono files from the 5.1, ready for remixing or just listening to isolated instruments. There's a wee bit of artifacting in some of the individual tracks but not too bad. Labeled like this:

C = lead vocals + drums
LFE = Lead vocals + bass + drums (I didn't roll off the highs, just reduced the volume a bit)
FL = backing vocals + lead guitar
FR = bass + rhythm guitar (some sections only)
SL = backing vocals
SR = rhythm guitar

Birthday: guitars, from the beatcomber tracks. Also some drums and vocals, but the guitars are loud and you can distinguish fairly well between what John and George are playing. I like the choppy rhythm John is playing during the "I would like you to dance" part, I always thought that was backing vocals.

Birthday: piano, vocals and snare overdub, from the beatcomber tracks. Couldn't get anything decent of the piano by itself but you can hear it well on this track with all of the rhythm instruments removed.

Great. Thanks so much.

Are you going to use any of these isolations on The White Album Recording Sessions Reconstructed.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps, a 5.1 mix using the beatcomber tracks. Too much echo on the vocal but the only two good extractions so far were the ones I posted earlier.

holy cow, you guys are killin' it! This is awesome stuff.. thanks again Magoocus and Paulo! I'm totally loving this, and getting to kick back and listen to what is almost like new Beatles tracks is pretty awesome too. It's like they're not new, but they are. :)

Now that's a revelation! The only electric guitar part (other than Clapton) is pegged in Recording The Beatles as "someone (likely John) on electric guitar or Bass VI" on track 4 of the 8-track tape. But I know this sound very well - it's a Rickenbacker 12-string! I have a copy of George's original, the 360-12, and I am as certain as I can be that that's what I'm hearing. I'm not sure there's any documentation that it was used any later than 1966, or am I just forgetting? I know he used it later on a number of solo songs, but I mean on Beatles recordings? Wow.

Here's a stereo mix of Twist and Shout, very rough with some phasing, but you can hear how they've used the cedar system to separate the bass (left), drums (center) and guitars (right).

It definitely sounds like a 12-string to me (George?). And it sounds like the percussion is on this track too, castanets(?) and later tambourine (Ringo & Paul?). It looks like John's guitar is nowhere to be heard since the low notes I'd heard in the stereo mix and thought could be John are clearly Eric.

Loving these isolations Magoocus.

Have you done any more Rockband Mix isolations recently?

Yeah, I've been loving all this flood of stuff, and it's like just as quick as it all appeared the flood suddenly dried up! haha

I'm almost dying to hear more variations and mixes now! There must be more to reveal in these newfound gems!

If I had the game I'd be on the case, but I have to wait.

Thanks for all you and the others have done so far. Here's to hoping that there's more coming! Cheers!

Thank you magoocus!! :o

Its sounds so clear, congratulations. :wink:

I want more songs from you. :D :D

Piano sounds like it wasn´t oopsed, in chorus some "love you" are not so clear in the remastered version.

cheers

Thanks Magoocus,
Wow, The amount of times I've heard this song and NEVER noticed
ANY of those pitch shifted (i.e. Speed Adjusted) "McCartney Led" Backing Vocals before.

Ah, The Beatles, will I never tire of hearing little things that I've never heard before
....Probably not....

Thanks again Magoocus, Pauloseltaeb and everyone "helping" with this stuff.
