Since no one has chosen one yet, I will choose "Drive My Car" for the song challenge of the month.

Mainly because I already have a track for it!

Maybe One Virgin will give us a good introduction for it! :D

Ok, here are two different tracks for you.

The first is a straight remix of the rockband material, just a version with different isolations put together. Nothing challenging, but sounds nice!

That is here:

Then, the fun new one, which uses the lyrics from Drive My Car put to Walk By Regio's by Isaac Hayes from the Shaft soundtrack. So we have:

Drive My Car From Regio's

"Drum roll" ...... ! This is a good selection from my favorite "early" Beatles album (U.S.) "Yesterday and Today" I've always thought perhaps a tinge of "And You Bird Can Sing" may stop traffic  Good luck to all!!

My favorite album cover of all time, too bad Craptiol chickened out

good one, Useo! Wish the vocals were a little bit louder on it, but the beat worked well!

Thanks,TJT.I'll try to raise the vocals & see how i turns out.Much appreciated.
It's funny about mashing Beatles tracks. Those guys played together so organically that they sometimes slowed or sped up to suit themselves.I really had to work in micro-seconds to get this one working.I'm sure you noticed that.

Great suggestion by One Virgin, thanks ! These 2 tracks mash seamlessly. To Us citizens, this might not be much of a surpirse, since boths songs were featured on Yesterday and Today. To Europeans, it is more of an eye-opener,since the songs were released on very diffferent LP's (the bluesey/country Rubber Soul and the harsher, druggier Revolver. Guess they remained John & Paul, whatever pills they took.

Did some Re-Mastering to give it a nice thumpy bass, and double trackled the guitar solo (as in And Your Bird).

Yeah, they speed up quite a bit in many tracks. Makes life of a Remixer interesting. Remixed a M. Jackson song a while ago, and it was rather boring since the rythm stayed a t 120 bpm all the way through......

Funny aspect is that - as a listener - you don't notice that they speed up so much; it suits the rising emotions in the songs.

Glad you took notice, I'll listen when I get home :D

Wow! Did not think it could work, the vocals from the Anthology version may be a better suit, although you've really slow the pitch down perfectly!! :D
