Since no more files from MikeNL were forthcoming :x , I spent the afternoon fussing with the ones I got (txs MP3J). In my simple mind, oopsing the 2 avaiable tracks should result in a complete instrumental, since the vocals should be identical in both tracks.

the results is here:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/23jzaj4gyjh/hello%20goodbye%20intsr.flac

Pretty interesting result. Unfortunately, there is some 'breakthrough' of the vocals now and then.

I suppose the reason is in some slight diffrences in synchronisation of MikeNL tracks. likely, he reocrded the 2 tracks one after the other, and his game console does run not at perfectly constant speed.

still, is there enough there for a remix ? :?:

The reason for those little bits that pop up when inverting is because of the "guitar strums/drum sounds" i have to remove.

I record every song twice.
but the second time i'll strum/drum a little bit earlier of later than the 1st time.
then i cut out the "guitar strums/drum sounds" from the first one, and put the bits from the 2nd time there.

Anyone doing simple stereo MP3s of the new mixes with everything included, including the new intros/outros?

yep, I figured out that's the only way to do it at this point. But let's try taking it a step further. Take a clean "guitarless" file, oops it against a regular file and hopefully the result will be just the guitar track. Same for bass and drums. This is a round-about way of getting the isolated tracks used for the game. Not nearly as clean but it's at least something until the rips appear.

I'm working on those slowly but surely. Two versions each, one with original vocals at regular volume and one with original vocals at reduced volume.

Of course there are quite a few different intros. One ending that fascinates me is the ending of "Good Morning, Good Morning".. an extended outro with miscellaneous McCartney adlibs.

impossible at this point.
the game has a random phase shifter.

Are you sure that the intros actually belong to the song ? The outros sound genuine, but the intros sometimes 'sound' different.......

Any chance of getting the regular game mix of Helter Skelter and Good Morning in FLAC?

first i'll do ALL the drum/guitar-less versions

we'll see.

i think that, if we would just record the songs "Full" first
then turn on the lower-vocals option, and record "Full" again.
invert those 2 together... and have a clean acapella.

first all those drum/guitar-less versions, lol... those are important to me.

Yeah, that's fine.
I like to hear instrumental versions too, not only are they great to listen to, but also very handy for mixing other stuff to! LOL.

Here's a quick remix of HCTS. With many thanks to Paolo, MikeNL and MP3J for the source wav's !

I like the vocals, they can now be separated into lead and backing vocals etc.

Just for fun:
