Hi!

Here are 2 more songs

Golden Slumbers - Carry That Weight (With Mariachi)

http://seltaebeht.podomatic.com/entry/2 ... 3_36-07_00

Lot of fun doing them.

Paulo Castillo

nicely done mix! sure is an odd listening experience though, that is, the mariachi. I had not heard them done this way before!

Hi

What a great sounds on this electric guitar on Abbey Road studios with Sara Bareilles voice, I add Paul McCartney rehearsal, trying to follow the guitar.

Oh Darling! (Paul McCartney and Sara Bareilles) mono

Here is the song:

Cheers

Paulo Castillo

the voices blend together well, don't they? but some of the vocals seemed to "move away" from each other a little too much on this one. Not sure if it could be tightened up a little more. But I think I would like the original version Sara did as well, hadn't heard that before.

I think that is the clearest I have heard the bass in that song!

OK, you got me confused now. So here's a warning: don't listen to this track if you want the DTG release to remain a complete surpirse !

Otherwise, feel free to give a listen to Mean Mr Mustard.

Now up on BDJ's Cellar, also in lossless format (a premiere!).

http://bdj.podomatic.com/

very nicely done! the Beatles themselves hit a few bum notes, but this sounded great together!

Here's my go at Come Together. This song is probably one of the most popular tracks to 'remix'; available in HQ stereo, simple rythm, just about 2 chords in all....

it still gave me quite a headache; with all the various bits and pieces looped etc., I ended up with 24 tracks to mix......

Enjoy, and/or include the (somewhat) lossless version on DTG album:

terrific one! gotta love it!

I've just sent three to DTG....here's one of them

Beatles/Punkles - Come Together

a well done mix! I am not sure I am fond of the punked up cover music, but made for a good mix.

@terminusj....it wasn't mixed with anything but itself! lol.

Here's Oh Darling...mixed with a Karaoke version, and echo!

...edit, and more tracks sent to DTG also.
It'll probably be a double cd set.

Anyone with any ideas for "I Want You"?

Thanks, this wil be just one of several tracks i've submitted to Day Tripper Girl for her Abbey Road 40 project.
I sent her two others today...both, like this one use Karaoke versions as the basis for the backing.
They're very easy to do and can provide very nice results.

I like the idea of using Wings' "Loop", but i'm not sure you've found the right things to layer over it there Dave, sorry.

cross-posted, but here is my contribution for the challenge. It is my all-time favorite Beatles song, so I was very happy with MikeNL's mix.

This takes MikeNL's Rockband extraction of I Want You (So Bad) [that is his title for the file] and combined it with the Magical Mystery Mix isolations, to create a very heavy mix.

This is interesting, if not a little jarring at times especially at the start with a loud guitar burst :( Although those "bursts" were latter minimal, what I love was your use of the"Hammond" organ parts and the alternative Lennon vocals :D The "white noise" was used also very well, giving that cyclone effect we all know and love 8)

parts of it work well, like the beginning part with the single female voice, but when the chorus comes in, not so much. Something was the part that seemed out of place. after that when the female voice comes back in, liked that, but the chorus part came back in again, that just seemed out of place.

Although I've have no musical offering as I'll leave it to all you wonderful experts here, below is my homage to this fine "little" album, The Beatles photographed by Linda Eastman in 1969 and superimposed on a "fan" photo of the steps of Abbey Road Studios 2005 via the magic of photoshop

Sorry, but is the 40th anniversary remix album complete? If yes, is it available on demonoid or somewhere else? Looking forward to ALL of the songs! Thanks.

I've heard nothing from DTG about this. She was the one organising it.
I emailed her several weeks ago about it, but got no reply.

And if it were out it wouldn't be at demonoid because demonoid is out of action at the moment.
Come to think of it.....the D vanished about the same time as DTG!! Coincidence??!! lol
