Hey guys and gals,

Doing a charity Beatles tribute night next saturday, and I'm having real trouble finding/recreating the Lowrey organ sound at the beginning of 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds'.

Please, if anyone knows of a soft synth of this organ, or can give me a pointer of how to recreate it in Logic (or with NI B3 II or similar) or on a Roland Jupiter-80, please give me a push in the right direction!

Many thanks,

James

Sorry jmel,

Just saw this post. I don't hang out here that often any more.

I've only found one website where you can buy the samples: http://vintagekeyboardsounds.com/page_gibson.html

Unfortunately, you can't load samples into the Roland, but I'm sure you can find a free software sample player.
