I've already started goin' on about this, up in our little Instant Message thingy above where I said :
"I've only got my toes in the water, listening wise ( which I just now was ) and this stuff is so deeply thrilling. We're all kids who just got into the candy store now !" . . . who else is digging in & lovin' it ?"
So ?

I'd imagine at least a few of us have gone past all the "have you heard there's more files ?" / "gimme a link to these files !", and actually started delving in.
A dedicated thread to enthuse about discoveries seems called for.

I figured I'd be going down the list of songs alphabetically, opening them with Audacity and soloing the individual tracks . . cataloging all the bittys I thought I'd be using later. But I jumped to "Abbey Road Medley" partly because the mediafire link I'd found best had had 3 downloads for it under their title of "Huge One.part1.rar", with a part 2 & 3.
:?:
Well, they all seem to be exactly the same, and once I'd seemingly cleared that up I dug in.
"Abbey Road" has always been a unique album . . . It's the only that sounds like so much of the 70's albums that followed it, and the only one recorded on 8-track.
Because of that, there's likely to be more going on within the tracks . . more buried in the mix.
And OMG, is there ever !
Solo the guitar tracks and the guitars on "You Never Give Me Your Money" in certain sections are not so immediately identifiable.
Solo the vocals and hear Paul, between finger clicks & throat clearing, sing a little harmony to the guitar that was never used.
Keep those vocals on as you head into "Polythene Pam" and hear John do more then say "Oh, look out".

That's enough for now . . I wanna' get past the A's down my list of treasures.

Who's heard what ?
and what're ya' gonna do about it ?

It is indeed exciting news that the files have finally been decrypted...but where are they?

certainly lots of fun stuff to go through! I don't really sit and listen to them, I just grab parts when I have something to use them for. I was doing the Rockband remixes, but now that everyone can do them, well, doesn't seem a point to me.

I just came from your latest email, where you spoke of all the "hashing out" of these topics on many forums, back during earlier rounds of isolations ( and cited examples I don't even know yet ! )
I feel slightly silly for gettin' all swoony from my own perspective, but I still like my enthusiasm.
I may not be new to "cutting & pasting" and mashing & melding .... but I ought'a remember that what's fresh for me is several chapters of history for others.
As to your "now that everyone can do 'em, what's the point".... well, even if everyone can now access the same tools & materials, it doesn't mean they've accessed the imagination, wit n' wisdom, or skills of TjT !!
Give everyone a paint brush and some will create a unique masterpiece ... in other cases there's eyes poked out !

lol, I see your point. But some of the "straight remixes" and instrumentals, meaning not mashups, I probably won't do as others seem to be doing those same things. I am sure I will be using them though!
