This one wrote itself. Isolating the backing and vocals was surprisingly straightforward for these 'ancient' recordings. Only issue was matching the pitch/keys. Did the best I could, bu Lennon still sounds a bit as if she is pinching his balls, while Helen may have downed a drink or two......

Anyway, enjoy at:

"Lennon still sounds a bit as if she is pinching his balls"
....Helen did have a huge crush on Lennon by her own admition!

No offense to your mix, but I really did not like this one. I guess I really don't care much for the song to begin with, Helen Shapiro's version isn't particularly good IMO, and so this wasn't a pleasant experience to me.

But, again, that has nothing to do with the mix, it just didn't gel to me, think nothing of my particular opinion on this one.

That's allright, we know you dislike cover versions.

haha, I deserve that. But I wouldn't say that either. There are several songs they improved, such as Twist & Shout, Rock And Roll Music, Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby, Roll Over Beethoven. Most of the "ballad" category though I could do without.
